Make the most of your listingMaking the Most of Your Listing

Your listings here or at any other site can be easily tweaked to maximize effectiveness. Make your listing the best it can be with some of the tips below!

Let’s look at the basic listing information first. The only real choice here is whether to list a website, email address or phone number as your primary contact information. The preferred choice is a website address, as visitors can find all your information there.

For scrapbook stores without a website, a phone number is probably the next best contact information. Most customers will be local, and won't hesitate to pick up the phone to call you. For out-of-towners, list your toll-free number if you have one. You can list both a local and a toll-free number here at California ScrapMania.

For retreat sites and events without websites, an email address is preferable to a phone number. Event and retreat attendees come from all over, and would probably click an email link before calling.

Internet safety and privacy are very important, so do consider this when submitting your information. If this is the reason you elect to use an email address, avoid personal ones like yourname@city.rr.com. Use a nickname or the listing name instead, and get a new email account if you need to.

Aside from the searches for particular businesses/events or towns, scrappers may search California ScrapMania for things such as product lines (like “Hot Off The Press”), types of amenities (like “crop room”), or specific activities (like “classes”). If you have an upgraded listing, the custom description allows you a space to tell readers that you have what they are looking for.

The perfect description is different for every listing. You know best what information will benefit your customers most. Here are some important items you might include:
